The museum is open Monday through Sunday from 9A-5P. Last admission is 4P. We'll do our best to accommodate your preferred visit date. Be sure to check your school calendar to avoid any conflicts with holidays or in-service days. *The museum is closed New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

Cost

Cost: $5 per student + tax. ($5.58) The USMM includes one free chaperone for every 10 students. Additional chaperones will be charged the $10 adult group rate. Chaperones should be engaged with students at all times.

GUIDED TOUR

Guided tours are available by request and will last about 30 minutes. Students will need to be divided into pre-determined groups of no more than 25 for guided tours, due to some smaller spaces in the galleries. Groups should arrive 20 minutes ahead of their scheduled tour time to allow for check in, restroom visits, etc. Students groups will be permitted to conduct self-guided tours, with the supervision of their group chaperone, at the end of the scheduled guided tours.

School groups may eat lunch or snacks on-site, but space must be reserved in advance. This space is available on a first come first, first served basis. Please be sure to clean up your area when you are finished and dispose of all trash.

Programs Menu

U.S. Marshals and the Constitution (Grades 6-12) - $75 for up to 30 students. $3 for each additional student. Duration: 1 hour

The students become the researchers! Help the Director of the U.S. Marshals Service demonstrate how the U.S. Marshals help uphold our Constitution through the analysis of a variety of the primary source documents.

Life on the Frontier (Grades K-5) - $75 for up to 25 students. $3 for each additional student. Duration: 1 hour.

When people think of the marshals, they most often think of the old west! But what was life really like for those marshals? In this STEM program, students will analyze what life was like for marshals riding out on the frontier in order to capture some of the west's most notorious criminals

Storytelling (Grades 6-12) $75 for up to 30 students. $3 for each additional student. Duration: 1 hour.

What do museums do? They tell stories! Using the exhibit spaces, students will explore a variety of storytelling techniques to create their own unique stories.

Crime Scene Investigation: The Case of the Stolen Badges (Grades 1-5) $100 for up to 25 students. $5 for each additional student. Duration: 1.5 hour.

Someone has been staling badges from the USMM collection! Use classic crime scene investigation tactics such as fingerprinting, handwriting analysis, footprint analysis, and more to determine who the culprit is!
